Two organizations have joined forces to support young people with asthma. Beat Asthma, an award-winning provider of asthma educational resources, partnered with Tiny Medical Apps Ltd, creators of the Digital Health Passport, to align with NHS England and NHS Improvement's National Bundle of Care for Children and Young People with Asthma.

The Digital Health Passport is a free, downloadable self-management app for chronic conditions that has earned approval from the NHS and inclusion in the NHS app library. It previously featured content from Asthma UK and now incorporates Beat Asthma materials, expanding access to quality resources for young people across the country.

Dr. Greg Burch, co-founder and clinical director of Tiny Medical Apps, remarked that this collaboration enables "Integrated Care Systems deliver the required standards of care for their young people with Asthma whilst putting award winning resources directly into the hands of those who need it most."

Dr. Jen Townshend, CEO of Beat Asthma, emphasized the importance of engaging young people in their own care, noting that "Educating and empowering young people with asthma is crucial to improving outcomes."

About Beat Asthma

An award-winning collection of resources created by healthcare professionals, parents, and people with lived asthma experience, Beat Asthma aims to enhance awareness and understanding of children's respiratory conditions. Dr. Jen Townshend, a general pediatrician with respiratory expertise at the Great North Children's Hospital, leads the initiative.
